Sent via email from Dan Plute on 22 Feb 2014 after I had asked hi m to revisit the 1910 US Census: Michael Rookridge is Mejd Rucklich! And this is how grandma Sofie wa s introduced to Joe's brother Jerry. In that 1910 census we also see that grandma Sofie had 3 children at t hat time, Tony, Paul, and one no longer living. It was never spoken of . I won't put this in ancestory or in my book but cousin Ted did a lot o f genealogical research in the 90's before aunt Sylvia died. He even w ent to Europe and found the ancestral home. But he refused to share an y information unless the family shared the cost of the research includ ing the trip. He had Aunt Sylvia in tears by telling her that he ha d learned that Jerry Sr was an extraordinarily mean alcoholic. Sylvi a defended her dad, but that's the only reason I can imagine Tony an d Paul going back to Illinois. Tony lived in Issaquah and Paul made tr ips to Renton for Christmas when I was a kid. I have good memory's o f both of them. 2.
