Romulus married Barbara Leonti ne Corpening, daughter of Albert Gallatin Corpening and Sophronia Hars haw. Albert Gallatin was the son of Abraham Corpening and Letitia Este s. The relationship between Eliza and Barbara was first cousins, once rem oved. Both Setzer and Corpening families were early North Carolina settler s and both families were large in numbers.
