Mildred Mae Mastrofini

"Midge" Venturi was born to Marietta and Ernesto Mastrofini. She was the fifth of six children. All of her siblings have preceded her in death. She was a native and lifetime resident of Madera and attended Madera schools, graduating from Madera High School in 1935.

She married William J. Venturi in 1947 and they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on August 16th of this year. She was a Business teacher at Madera High School and she and Bill owned and operated the M&B Liquor Store for many years. She later worked for Madera County Health Department and retired in 1984 after twelve years as the administrative secretary to the Board of Directors of the Madera Irrigation District.

Mildred was a member of St. Joachim's Catholic Church, Past-president of the Young Ladies Institute, Past-president of the Sigma Theta Sorority, member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and the Madera Community Hospital League. In May 2006, she and Bill were honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from Heartland Opportunity Center.

Mildred was preceded in death by her only son William James Venturi, Jr., who passed away in 1984. She is survived by her husband William James Venturi, Sr. two daughters, Alice Badorine and her husband Dennis of Madera, Beatrice Ann Lynch and her husband Peter of Los Gatos, five grandchildren, Aryn Badorine Rannazzisi and her husband Michael of San Diego, Daniel Badorine of Santa Rosa, Joseph, Patrick and Jonathan Lynch of Los Gatos, California and one great grandson, Benjamin Rannazzisi. She is also survived by her dear sister-in-law, Lola Mastrofini of Madera and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
