Hazel Eierman, 82, of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.
She was born on July 25, 1920, at Dane Prairie Township in Otter Tail County, the daughter of Otto and Bertha (Boeder) Schachtschneider. She was confirmed at Tordenskjold Lutheran Church, rural Underwood and attended rural School District No. 19 in Fergus Falls.
In 1939, she married Clifford Sander. On March 11, 1964, she married Stanley Eierman in Rawlins, Wyo. After their marriage, the couple resided in Fergus Falls.
She began working at the Log Cabin and also at various restaurants until the early 1970s, when she began working at The Spot in Fergus Falls, retiring in the mid-1990s. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and later, crossword puzzles and entertaining family gatherings.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Clifford; husband, Stanley; two sisters, Ann Busko and Edna Nelson; seven brothers, Alfred, Arnold, Elmer, Arthur, Kenneth, August, and John; a son-in-law, Buck Barriger; and a granddaughter, Kay Lynn Craven.
Survivors include three daughters, Gloria Barriger of Chisago City, Diane (Kenneth) Fredrickson and Cheryl (Norman) Muchow, both of Fergus Falls; two sons, Larry (Sharon) Sander of Fergus Falls and Michael (Mona) Sander of Winder, Ga.; two step-daughters, Judith (David) Ames of Minneapolis and Janet (Jerry) Abernathy of Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin (Arlene) Schachtschneider of Underwood and Kermit (Sally) Schachtschneider of Richfield and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation: Today one hour prior to the service at the church
Service: 2 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls

Burial: Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Fergus Falls
