Kenneth E. Schachtschneider, 60, 112 E. Lincoln, died Tuesday evening, Feb. 1, at Lake Region Hospital.
Services are set for 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at the chapel of Glende-Johnson-Nelson Funeral Home. Rev. Merle Fagerberg will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
The son of Otto and Bertha Schachtschneider, he was born Dec. 28, 1922, in Dane Prairie Township where he grew up and attended school. He was employed a number of years with Swedberg Nursery before working with the maintenance department of the city of Fergus Falls for more than 17 years. He retired in 1975.
Surviving are a daughter, LuAnn Schachtschneider, Ulen; a sister, Hazel Eiermen, Fergus Falls; three brothers, Melvin, Underwood, Arnold, Moorhead, and Kermit, Minneapolis; and one granddaughter.
There will be no visitation at the family's request.
