Alice Maud Miles was born Sept. 24, 1884 on the old homestead, where she grew to young womanhood and where she resided until her parents moved.
On May 8, 1908 she was married to Peter Wilson. To this union six children were born were born: Cora May, who died in infancy, Loyal, Ralph, Lyal, Stella and Ella.
She passed away on their homestead at Jonesville, S.D. Sept. 6, 1920 at the age of 35 years, 11 months and 18 days, leaving a small baby three weeks old.
Friends, who have known her all of her childhood, young womanhood and after her marriage know her as a sweet good girl and as a kind and loving wife and mother and her death leaves a place vacant in her home that never can be filled.
Those left to mourn are her husband and children, father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Miles, six brothers and two sisters besides a host of friends and other relatives and acquaintances at her home in S.D.
The remains arrived in Winnetoon last Wednesday, Sept. 8, accompanied by the husband and were taken to the home of Mrs. J.E. Clough.
Funeral services were held in the M.E. church in Winnetoon, Thursday, September 9, conducted by the M.E. pastor of the Plainview church and interment made in the Winnetoon cemetery by the side of her brother, who died while in the U.S. service.
The pallbearers were P.P. Glimsdal, H.W. Crandall, Andrew Stubben, A.W. Jewell, A.R. McGill, O.W. Crandall.--Winnetoon Pioneer
