Nola E. Rustad, age 68, of Parkers Prairie, died Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, August 30, 2010, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Jonathan Sorum officiating. Music will be provided by organist, Julie Lindgren. Burial will take place at Swedish Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Sunday at the Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie and continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Nola Elizabeth Rustad was born on April 15, 1942 to Alfred and Ella (Elnes) Ulsby in Parkers Prairie. She was baptized and confirmed at First Evangelical Lutheran Church. She grew up in Parkers Prairie where she attended public school and graduated from Parkers Prairie High School in 1960. Following her education, she was united in marriage to Russell Rustad on July 27, 1963 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Following their marriage, she worked at Trites Hatchery in Henning and worked with her husband on numerous farms in the Parkers Prairie area. Nola was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Women of the E.L.C.A. She also helped at the senior meal site. Her hobbies included reading, knitting and attending yard sales.

Nola is survived by her husband of 47 years, Russell; a son, Curtis (Ann) Rustad of Anchorage, Alaska; two brothers, Andy (Jeanette) Ulsby of Becker and Joe (Sue) Ulsby of Cloquet; a sister, Shirley Olson of Ashby; two grandchildren, Kevin Ferry and Brian Ferry, along with nephews, nieces and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Donald Zuehlke, Allan Ulsby, Scott Ulsby, Steve Benson, John Olson and David Rustad.

Arrangements are provided by Lind Family Funeral & Cremation Service, with chapels in Miltona and Parkers Prairie.
