Pages 321-329 contain historical information about the Gard Number #19 Balstad farm. On page 326, we find that between 1773-1797 this farm was run by Erik Olsen (b.1743-d.1817). Erik married Brynhild Bersvensdtr (b.1742-d.1824) and they had eight children. In the list of children, their youngest (#8) was Ola/Ole Eriksen (b.1782) who would become the owner of Balstadjardet, a smaller portion of Balstad.
