Martin, 99, of Miles City, formerly of Helena, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City. In 1947, she and her family moved to Helena and Gertrude started her career with the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks as an accountant. After 20 years, she retired and moved to Miles City with Sidney to be closer to family and she has remained there ever since. Gertrude is survived by her son, Neil Martin and his wife, Joellen, of Miles City; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sidney in July 1999; three sisters and one brother. Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 17, at 7 p.m. at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Miles City. Interment will be held at a later date.
