I have Ambrose parents as Charley Heer and Anna Barnsworth. I have n o info on them.
Ambrose heer married Mabel Ostrom.

2. Email received from Ed Ostrom on May 27, 2013. It contained Ambros e Heer's obituary.
3. Letter from Sharon Ostrom King written Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013. Af ter I asked the question of why Ambrose's name wasn't yet engraved o n the headstone he was to share with Mabel Ostrom Heer. I had been t o the Cemetoery on 16 October 2013 and noticed his death date wasn't e ngraved. He died May 22, 2013 and this was October. Is he buried in B elle Passi Cemetery as people think he is?
"Re: Ambrose Heer - and this is from Kerin [Orrin Ostrom's wife]: Am w as cremated - Stored in 3 boxes - 1/3 to be spread on 3 areas - Gary s son - Steve is responsible - Gary & Boni [Ambrose's children] alway s scrapping - Boni upset so, sometime - hopefully I can talk to Gar y - he & Terrie live in Palm Springs. Ambrose Jake (AJ) Heer May 25, 1915 - May 22, 2013

Ambrose Jake (Am or AJ) Heer passed away May 22, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife Mabel Ione Ostrom Heer. AJ was born May 25, 1915 in Brooten, MN to Charley Heer and Annie Banworth.

His Celebration of Life will be Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 12 pm on the Heer Farm in Woodburn, Oregon. Family, friends and neighbors are welcomed.

AJ was the fifth of six children born to Charley and Annie. His early years were spent farming wheat and barley in Douglas, North Dakota.

After battling severe weather and crop pest issues in the Dakotas in the 1930's, AJ bought his first farm in Oregon in 1942, and he and his wife Mabel moved their young family in 1944 to settle on the farm in Woodburn. It was on this farm that he raised cattle, chickens and hogs. He farmed hazelnuts, grass seed, wheat, oats, barley, alfalfa, corn and berry crops. In 1959, his strawberries received an award for one of the highest yields in Marion County.

AJ was known for farming, dancing, reliable weather predictions and the gift of good story telling. Regularly on Tuesdays, he could be found at the Woodburn Auction pursuing cattle and machinery. He loved to be on his tractor baling hay and spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends. Though he was born in Minnesota, nearly all of his adult life was spent on the farm in Woodburn, Oregon.

AJ is survived by an adoring family: Gary and Terrie Heer, Boni and Ted Halton, Francis Boehmer, Patty Muth, Steve and Annie Heer, Travis and Stephanie Hollman, Dana and Jason Sahlin, Tami and Mike Pardee, Tanner and Robin Halton, Sarah Halton, nine great grandchilren, many nieces and nephews and his dear caregivers Charlotte Garrow, Laurie Wright and Charlotte Kasitkey.
