Laura Dahl, 96, a resident of the Broen Home, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1990, at the home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sverdrup Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Rolf Wangberg officiating. Burial will be in Tordenskjold Lutheran Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 1, 1894, in Tordenskjold Township, the daughter of Nels and Oline (Mortenson) Olson. She grew up in Underwood and attended rural school through the eighth grade. She attended Park Region Business College in Fergus Falls, later working as a seamstress and telephone switchboard operator.
On June 8, 1912, she married Henry Dahl at Tordenskjold Lutheran Church. After the death of her husband March 17, 1962, she moved to Fergus Falls. She became a resident of the Broen Home in August.
Mrs. Dahl was a member of Sverdrup Lutheran Chruch and its ladies aid, and she was a member of the Royal Neighbors for more than 70 years.
Her survivors include two sons, Reno of Underwood and Forrest of Fergus Falls; a daughter, Donna (Mrs. Vernon) Johnson of Fergus Falls; four sisters, Dorothy Mortenson and Jeanette Nelson, both of Fergus Falls, Winnifred Olson of Underwood and Millie Ronning of Tomah, Wis.; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 13 great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
