Alvin N. Hoff, 68, of Fergus Falls Route 5 died yesterday at Lake Region Hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at the Aastad Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. David Holte will officiate.
The son of Anna and Helmer Hoff, he was born Sept. 30, 1912, in Aastad Township. He was baptised and confirmed at the Aastad Church, where he also married Laura Mellan on June 20,1948.
For 40 years he farmed in Aastad Township. After his retirement in 1968 he continued to live on the family farm.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. James (Betty) Bergerud Jr. of Fergus Falls; a son, Roger of Elizabeth; three grandchildren; and three brothers, Howard and Kenneth, both of Fergus Falls, and Milton of Minneapolis.
Visitation at the Olson Funeral Home will be all day Wednesday, Thursday morning and at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
