Forskningsnotater: Bessie Beryl Sieger CUSTER - A longtime Custer resident, Mrs. Bessie Sieger, died Saturday, November 17, 1970, at a Rapid City nursing home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the McColley Funeral Chapel, Custer, the Rev. W.W. Hiller officiating. Burial in the Custer Cemetery will be with Rebekah graveside rites. A memorial has been established to the Custer Community Church, of which Mrs. Sieger was a member and to the Custer Community Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Sieger was born July 29, 1893, at Omaha, Neb. She attended school in Custer and later taught in the Fairburn and Buffalo Gap areas. On Oct. 6, 1915, she married John Sieger, who died in 1964. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. Surviving are two sons, Everett Sieger (Helen) and Max Sieger (Leona), both of Custer; five grandchildren, (Max) Vicki Simpkins, Robert Sieger, Lela Sieger, (Everett) Neal Sieger and Donal Sieger, and one great-grandchild, Dawn Simpkins.
