Gordon was a cat-skinner, meanin g he drove Caterpillar earth movers. This occupation would create a l ot of back pain from the constant jostling in this big equipment. 2. Gordon is found in the 1930 Census enumerated as a member of his fa ther's household. 3. During a visit with Aunt Evelyn in 2007 she told Doug and me that U ncle Gordon had been cremated and his cremains were in the urn that wa s sitting in the bookcase I was sitting next to. It was her plan to h ave his ashes added to her casket after she died and they could be bur ied together. She told us that she had already paid the funeral hom e for this service. 4. When Evelyn died her family found that the funeral home wouldn't a llow his ashes to be included without an additional large amount of mo ney. Evelyn sons asked if they could include some of Evelyn's favorit e items in her casket. Yes, that was acceptable. So Jim, their eldes t son asked if the funeral home would allow the Christmas present he h ad already purchased be added. Yes, that was alright. So he wrappe d his father's ashes in a nice square container in pretty Christmas wr apping and his cremains were added to her casket. Following the wishe s of their parent's. 5.
