Forskningsnotater: Peder immigrated from Denmark at a young age with his wife Ane Kristense Pedersen who was expecting their first child. Ellen was born in Portland shortly after their arrival and soon the family moved to Prosser where Peter was working on a dairy. Their second child Feldborg called "Ray" was born in Prosser and just before the third child was born, Peter was rushed to a hospital in Yakima where he died. That left his widow who spoke little English with four year old Ellen and two year old Ray and another baby due any day. Ane moved back to Portland and soon took the two older children back to Denmark to live with relatives and get their schooling. Ane went back to Portland, Oregon to get her baby daughter who had been left with Nielsen relatives. Begravelsesnotater: Peter Christian Nielsen Peder blev gift med Ane Kristense Pedersen i 1911.
